Amazon for Ukraine

Redesigned amazon app for humanitarian purpose aiding Ukraine crisis
The goal of the application is to help and support Ukrainian people by adding additional set of features to the existing Amazon app
Role: UX Designer, UX Researcher
Tools: Figma, FigJam, Notion
Team: Group + Individual work
Duration: 2 months
Problem:
The people of Ukraine are suffering, and as a result, many huge corporations are reacting to events in Ukraine by seeking out ways to spread correct information and provide assistance to the Ukrainian people.
Amazon might make use of a comprehensive feature set to deliver humanitarian aid to those in need. It's possible to come up with new ideas and come up with a solution.
Understanding Problem
Design Sprint Process:

My Role:
I took part in the design sprint, where everyone contributed to the implementation of ideas that subsequently became features.
Next, each of us created prototypes of the application interface individually to validate our ideas.
SPRINT BASED APPROACH
To make humanitarian aid more accessible through the Amazon app, substantial capabilities must be created in a way that is both efficient and helpful to consumers. We can get to a solution more quickly and easily using a sprint-based strategy.
Building a common understanding of the problem, potential challenges, rapid competitive research, knowing our users, mapping, narrowing in on the most impactful and highest potential idea, and lastly translating our ideas into actionable statements are all covered in this process. This allows us to quickly construct a prototype that can be thoroughly tested.

What are the questions we'll need to answer ?
How are companies supporting Ukraine ?
Are there any lapses with the current form of support ?
What are the immediate needs of people in Ukraine ?
Rapid competitive research to search for similar products
Uber - In- app donation button / free rides at the border
Etsy has a category just reserved for sellers in Ukraine
AirBnB has a pay don’t stay campaign where users can pay for the refugee’s stay
Who do we think will use this product?
Charities
Frequent buyers
Non-profit Organizations
Potential Outcomes
Donations made in the app can give financial aid to the people of Ukraine
Users can buy supply kits for children and amazon can partner up with NGOs to distribute them
Sellers get monetary benefits as well as recieve allowances
How might we ?
How might we help the organization support the people of Ukraine ?
How might we make sure that the donations are secured ?
How might we make decision about when to display a “humanitarian disaster” UI toolkit ?
Dot Voting
Dot voting is essential for getting information about the ideas people liked and wish to pursue.
A vote is taken based on everyone's handsketches, and the concept is expanded into more comprehensive handsketches.

HAND SKETCHES
Hand-drawn sketches are a quick approach to explore a design concept. They can be very rough or very precise, but they are a really tactile and human way of putting thoughts on paper. Drawing by hand is also a good approach to save a "record" of an idea for future reference.

HIGH FIDELITY PROTOTYPE
The design's goal was to create something that was both simple to grasp and helpful in achieving a humanitarian solution.
Due to the sheer design's simplicity, it's easy to donate.
The Ukrainian flag on the menu icon denotes that it is for humanitarian help.
HIGHLIGHTS :
The following are some of the app's key features that distinguish it from others: (The rest is provided in the demo)
The home page includes a direct donation option and a list of categories (services).
A section for collecting user input in the form of a survey.

Prototype Overview
User Testing
Testing Setup
I conducted a usability testing session with 5 individuals performing the same tasks to validate the solution.
The goals of the testing session are to see if the intended solution met the user's needs, to uncover problems and fix them in an iterative way, and to get true statement.
Analyze your results
